The Boston Camera is quite a beast. Do you know if it flew in any other aircraft or was it specifically designed for the B-36 alone?
Hi,
What a camera! I’m pretty sure that it was equipment for the B-36 and RB-36 due to it’s size and weight — there was no mention of being on another aircraft type. Although, it would be good to get with a photo recon expert to compare the Boston camera with the cameras that came later and equipped the RB-47 aircraft. Was there a gain or loss of resolution? Did optics get smaller with no loss of resolution?
Thx
Joe
