The destruction of the buildings of the World Trade Center did what most violent acts do against a strong people — although the fires killed and wounded thousands they tempered a nation against terrorists as well as terrorism. This is the anniversary of the four 9/11 attacks and World Trade Center steel has been distributed wide and far in memorials and in sculpture. Sculptures are many, a few have been posted about here, Steel pieces are in city halls, museums and libraries that are too numerous to count. Every one of these are unique — unique either by design or by shape but there is at least one sculpture and it is truly unique since it was commissioned in honor of the flight crews who lost their lives on that infamous day. The sculpture named Valor Commitment Dedication — by sculptor Bryce Cameron Liston — is the centerpiece of the 9/11 Flight Crew Memorial in Grapevine TX and is located at the coordinates given above or, more simply put, the SW corner of Texas Trail and West Northwest Hwy in Grapevine.

A beautiful and lasting tribute to the fallen cockpit and cabin crewmembers of 9/11 — and Texas did it well! “Lest We Forget”
