The French Navy’s Atlantique 2—for maritime patrol

Made by Breguet Aviation, the Atlantique 2 is the French Navy’s maritime patrol asset. Interestingly it has a double bubble fuselage with the upper half pressurized and the lower half the unpressurized weapons bay. Each Atlantique 2 has a crew of 12 and is powered by a pair of Rolls-Royce Tyne RTy,20 Mk 21 turboprop engines (6100 ship each). Endrance is 18 hours and the range can be as far as 5600 miles. Armament can include torpedoes, depth charges, mines, Exocet missiles and bombs.
