NASA’s New Horizons accomplished a fantastic mission objective with its Pluto fly-by. Topping that, NASA ad libbed a fly-by of the Kuiper Belt asteroid Ultima Thule which showed a coalesced object of two bodies. Now, as New Horizons continues hurtling through the Kuiper Belt, NASA specialists are look for a new and more distant object that New Horizons can next visit. New understandings of space objects as well as Earth’s formation continue to excite!
