Angel 7 — this knock off Blue knocks out

This Czech made Aero Vodochody L-39 Albatross is not an ex Cold Warrior in a Blue Angel disguise — it is Angel 7, flown as a tribute to the Blue Angels in air shows the Blues cannot visit (though there is no official association). The aircraft resembles the Douglas A-4 Skyhawks flown by the Blues prior to their Hornets, so, the original owner thought he could occupy a niche which would entertain air shows crowds. The 2009 Stuart Airshow I saw proved him more than right judging by the response of the crowd.

Why not?

There is much to like seeing this high performance jet aircraft —in highly photogenic blue and gold livery — flying stunts in a cloud speckled Florida sky.
