The countries are presented in alphabetical order in English and their native language is provided where practical. Locations are as accurate as possible, at times they are exact and at times they are general—with a few being very general. Amazingly, there are 60+ countries (including a protectorate) listed which have an incredible  total of 300+ museums between them. Remember that many towns have individual static aircraft displays or memorials—so it is good to keep a weather eye when out and about!

The collection at Hucknall has a smaller collection of engines as well as models used at the testing centre there. The Heritage Centre on Osmaston Road details the history of Rolls-Royce and absorbed companies alone with the history of propulsion on land, sea and air.

“Stratford Aircraft Collection“ (no web site) located on the southeastern corner of  Long Marston Airport with the entrance on Campden Rd. — the nearest town is within a few miles and is Long Marston, Stratford-Upon-Avon — this is not a formal collection and the facility appears to be closed with most of the collection of military aircraft having been distributed to other museums but a few of the larger aircraft remain but are not maintained.
